GROW Region 1a - ALL COUNTIES

Region 1a - Zoom

In response to COVID-19, all GROW trainings are currently being delivered in an online format.

The online platform that is being used in Region 1a is Zoom.

The schedule below details all of Region 1a's upcoming GROW trainings. As these are being held online, all trainings are open for anyone to attend regardless of county of residence. 

Registration closes one week prior to the start date

Modules are in the following order:

Introduction, Child and Adolescent Development, Attachment and Relationships, Toxic Stress and Trauma, Advocacy and Systems (including Prudent Parenting), Wellbeing, Child Mental Health and Special Needs, Diversity and Inclusion, Conclusion.

Safe Sleep is taught when the time allows. The new Firearms policy is taught within the Systems module.  SOGIE is taught in the Diversity module. 

Registration should be sent at least one week prior to the start date of the class. 

GROW Parent manuals will be provided either in PDF or printed. If you are interested in a printed manual, please contact your licensing worker or local agency. 

You will see the dates and times are the same for all 15 counties covered by Region 1a

Referrals can be made using the MDHHS-5853 form HERE.

Referral forms for GROW in Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Crawford, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Iosco, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, Roscommon, and Wexford County should be emailed to GROW-RRT1a@WellspringLutheran.com
