A trauma-focused parenting approach equips foster, adoptive and
kinship (FAK) parents with strategies and tools to help the children in
their care counteract the impact of abuse, neglect and traumatic
stress. This training provides an understanding of how a child who
has experienced complex trauma interacts with their environment
and caregivers. FAK parents will learn practical strategies to help
children build healthy coping, attachment and resilience skills.
