Meet The Staff
My name is Nicole Sharp, and I am excited to take a moment to introduce myself and share a glimpse into the tapestry of my life.
I have been happily married for an incredible 26 years to my best friend and partner in all things, Jeff. Together, we are blessed with a beautiful and diverse family that has brought immeasurable joy and fulfillment to our lives. Our family includes two amazing biological children, Hannah (24) and Anthony (19), as well as three adopted gems: Ryan (7), Jacob (7), and Joseph (5). Additionally, we are privileged to have a bonus daughter, Chloe, who is the sister of our adopted sons’ and is nearly 3 years old.
Our journey as foster parents has been both challenging and immensely rewarding. Over the past seven years, we have opened our hearts and home to children in need, providing them with love, stability, and a sense of belonging. It is worth noting that our adopted sons, Ryan, Jacob, and Joseph, are part of the Native American community with ties to the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. We hold their cultural heritage in high regard and strive to create an environment where they can embrace and celebrate their roots.
This calling led me to take a pause in my career as a Physical Therapist Assistant after our third foster placement. During this time, I embraced the role of a stay-at-home mom, focusing on nurturing and supporting our growing family.
As life unfolded and our children continued to bloom, I felt a renewed sense of purpose to reenter the workforce. My decision was fueled by the desire to not only contribute to our family's financial well-being but also to empower and support our children in their unique journeys. It has been a rewarding challenge, and I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way.
In addition to my family and career, I am passionate about creating a positive impact in our community. Through our experiences as foster parents, we have witnessed the transformative power of love and stability in a child's life, and I am committed to advocating for the well-being of children and families.
I look forward to the adventures that lie ahead and am eager to continue learning, growing, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around me. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little more about me.
