Meet The Staff

Melanie has a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, but honestly never imagined she’d be working in this field! She and her husband Laurence thought their life was complete as they worked and lived abroad happily for nearly a decade, but it wasn’t until they moved back to the U.S. and both felt a burning desire to grow their family, that they became foster parents in 2018. Since then, they have adopted their son through foster care and continue to take placements through their open license. The thing Melanie loves most about her job is building relationships with other prospective foster families and sharing in their journey with them. The Buckley family resides in Plymouth and loves being active with their church, eating at new restaurants, and traveling to all corners of the globe.
