Meet The Staff
Aly Markwell is a dedicated foster care navigator with a passion for supporting foster and adoptive families. Married with both foster and adoptive children, Aly understands the joys and challenges of fostering firsthand. She and her husband share their home with two friendly dogs, who join Aly on her favorite outdoor activity: hiking. In her free time, she also enjoys reading, learning, and attending hockey games.
With a strong ministry background and a heart for teens, Aly has fostered children from birth through adolescence, focusing on sibling groups, school-age children, medically fragile children, and teens. She brings specialized knowledge in ADHD, PTSD, sleep disorders, substance-exposed children, and the dynamics of large sibling groups. Aly’s education in healthcare management and ministry, combined with her lived experience, equips her to provide valuable guidance to foster families.
Aly is actively involved in her local foster care community, teaching GROW classes, working in recruitment and retention, and sharing her love for foster care to inspire others. A former college athlete who played water polo, Aly knows the importance of teamwork and resilience—qualities she brings to her work every day.
Aly is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families, and she is here to provide support, resources, and encouragement to those navigating the foster care journey.
