She has a commitment to children and families and is dedicated to the recruitment and retention of foster homes throughout the state of Michigan. While working in the field, Lisa has involved herself with several community collaborations and has participated in several local and statewide events. Lisa has good working relationships with several agencies throughout the state as well as MDHHS workers in and around the Genesee County area. Lisa has played an important role for several community outreach programs in the city of Flint such as Feed the Children, The Bridge Family Fun Day and Summer Childcare programs.
Lisa received her Bachelors in Social Work from Spring Arbor University. She is active in her church and has volunteered as a youth cheer coach for several years. Lisa lives in Burton with her son and daughter and spends most of her free time with her children who are involved in several sports and extracurricular activities. She enjoys spending time at her family’s cabin, singing and painting.
